The Winfield Dunn Center has been home to Governors athletics since it opened in 1975. Considered one of the top mid-major facilites in the south, it has evolved into one of the more intimidating basketball courts in the ASUN Conference.
The 132,000 square-foot complex, officially named the Winfield Dunn Health and Physical Education Building and Convocation Complex in honor of Governor Dunn, was built for $5.3 million when construction started in February 1973. The dominating edifice on the northwest corner of the Austin Peay campus is over seven stories tall with 78 feet separating the top of the building from its Permaflex playing surface. The Dunn Center, which was nicknamed "The House that Fly Built" upon completion, replaced the Memorial Gymnasium, affectionately called "The Little Red Barn," which served as the Governors home court from 1952 until the Dec. 1, 1975 tip-off.
Opened in July of 2023 and home of the Austin Peay men’s and women’s basketball programs, F&M Bank Arena is Clarksville’s premier entertainment venue. Just a five-minute walk from the campus of Austin Peay, F&M Bank Arena features concerts, hockey matches, and other entertainment events. F&M Bank Arena is also the site of home games for the Austin Peay men’s and women’s basketball programs. Inside F&M Bank Arena you can find the Austin Peay men’s and women’s basketball offices, practice facility, locker rooms, and training rooms. Located in downtown Clarksville, F&M Bank Arena also has to offer the Ford Ice Center, a single sheet rink recreational facility for the Clarksville community.
In the heart of Austin Peay’s campus you will find the Foy Fitness & Recreation Center. This facility has plenty to offer to Austin Peay students including an indoor track, heated pool, and fitness studios. With plenty of amenities to help you train and recover, you will also find three multi-purpose basketball courts and racquetball courts. This $11 million recreation center offers the perfect environment for Governors to live a healthy lifestyle while pursuing their degrees as a student at Austin Peay.
